For Hillary and Kaleb, their walk down the aisle was foreshadowed 4 years earlier: during a mutual friend’s wedding, they met and walked as groomsman and bridesmaid. At that moment, they were unaware that they'd return to that aisle as husband and wife.
After the proposal, Hillary, a beloved member of our customer service team at LFAO Ventures, LLC, was delighted to start wedding planning. Her inspiration drew in rustic chic style with a hint of country charm, compliments of her husband's cowboy boots, to complete the perfect backyard wedding at Woodland Meadows Farm. Yellow and white flowers bloomed above burlap accents as weathered wood decor accented their tables. Rustic metal trays complemented colorful desserts, wine barrels fell perfectly into place and home style mason jars were an absolute must. With globe string lights at the ready and reception plans realized, their wedding was an overwhelming success as Hillary and Kaleb were blissfully wed.
"Kaleb proposed to me at my cabin on Whidbey Island on the beach while I was beach combing... I was holding jelly fish in one hand and a starfish in the other, running around flipping over rocks. He was trying to get my attention by saying, 'I love you…' and I responded, 'I love you too, but check out this jelly fish!' He finally got my attention and I turned around and he was on one knee while we were out in the tide flats, and my family had been hiding under the row boats on the beach waiting."
The marriage of this vintage inspired cake stand with the rustic design of the wedding cake is our second favorite pairing in Hillary and Kaleb's wedding...next to the bride and groom of course!
"My favorite color is yellow, so I knew I wanted to use that as my pop of color. Once I picked my venue, I decided that I wanted to do an elegant backyard wedding. Kaleb wanted cowboy boots, so we went with champagne colored tuxes and the accent colors would be yellow and gold."
Mason jars are a must have in rustic chic weddings. We love how Hillary used them with shepherd hooks and on wine barrels to add sophistication to their design.
"My favorite moment of my wedding was standing up at the alter looking around to see all of our loved ones who took the time to be there to share our special day with us."
“You could say we were meant to walk down the aisle together."
"I love wedding planning, and so I really enjoyed planning my wedding myself. Also, trying out all of my different centerpiece ideas over and over again until I loved it was a lot of fun, too, and to watch my vision and handmade crafts magically come together from my amazing set up crew."
We couldn't be happier for Hillary and Kaleb and the beautiful life chapter they've started!
